It is hard to describe the relief of moving my things to a safe place. The other fighters are very welcoming and I appreciate them for their kind hearts. I wonder if the audience knows we are mostly friendly outside of the ring. I am learning a lot about showmanship. Seeing others sleep in the streets still makes me upset but I know that there’s a way forward for everyone if I was able to make it in these short months that I’ve been here in Kingston. You might not always like your job, but there’s always something more if you stop, think, and do the work.
